Dave Blaskovich
Founding Principal

Dave founded Surf Street RE in early 2021 after seeking an exit strategy from his law practice and
discovering the many benefits of investing in multifamily apartment syndications. He is responsible for all things Surf Street RE.

During the past several years leading up to the creation of Surf Street RE, Dave devoted a substantial amount of his time and efforts on matters related to investing in multifamily apartment syndications. Currently, his portfolio spans multiple markets around the U.S. and includes both active and passive investments in multifamily apartment syndications. 

Since launching Surf Street RE in 2021, Dave and other Surf Street RE investors have taken equity positions in four multifamily assets representing 948 doors and a total acquisition value in excess of $275 million.  In 2022, the first investment Surf Street RE made was sold after 14 months of a 60-month business plan.  We completed a 1031 exchange allowing our investors to defer paying their taxes and grow their capital after receiving monthly cash flow and achieving a 1.80X equity multiple.

For more than twenty-five years prior to launching Surf Street RE, Dave practiced law serving clients in the state and federal courts of Indiana and Illinois. Dave’s experiences focus on real estate, business matters, and litigation.

Dave received his B.A. (Economics) from Indiana University-Bloomington, and his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School (now the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law). He is a licensed attorney in the states of Indiana and Illinois, a licensed Illinois Real Estate Managing Broker, and a member of the American Platform Tennis Association.
